Applications will be submitted online through Marmara University’s graduate application system.

Applicants are required to upload all necessary information and documents completely to the application system within the application period. It is the applicant’s responsibility to ensure that the application documents are approved/signed, legible, and valid. Documents will be checked and approved by the Institute staff.
Information and Documents Required for Pre-Registration
The documents that Turkish citizen applicants and international applicants must upload to the system during pre-registration are listed below:
- Graduation Certificate or Bachelor’s Diploma
Applicants to the master’s program must hold a bachelor’s degree or be in a position to graduate by the final registration date. Graduation certificates obtained through e-Government are accepted. The document must be uploaded to the system in PDF or JPEG format.
- Undergraduate Transcript
Applicants are required to upload their undergraduate transcript to the system. The transcript must include a GPA calculated on a 4.00 or 100-point scale. GPA calculation is not carried out by our University. Transcripts obtained through e-Government are accepted. The document must be uploaded to the system in PDF or JPEG format.
- ALES Score Report
Turkish citizen applicants must have a minimum ALES Equal Weight score of 70. The ALES score report must be uploaded to the system in PDF or JPEG format. International applicants are not required to submit an ALES score report.
- Foreign Language Score Report
Turkish citizen applicants must meet the foreign language requirement. The accepted minimum foreign language scores for application to the program are 75 for YDS, 80 for TOEFL, and 70 for PTE Academic. The foreign language score report must be uploaded to the system in PDF or JPEG format. International applicants are not required to submit a foreign language score report.
- Photograph
Applicants are required to upload a passport-style photograph to the system in JPEG format. The uploaded photograph must clearly identify the applicant. Student ID cards of applicants who are entitled to final registration will be printed using the photographs uploaded to the system. Photographs other than passport-style photographs may not be accepted.
- Statement of Purpose
Applicants are required to upload a statement of purpose to the system.
- Curriculum Vitae / CV
Applicants are required to upload their current curriculum vitae to the system.
- Reference Letter
Applicants are required to submit at least 1 reference letter. Submission of 2 reference letters is preferred.
- Translation of Documents Not Issued in Turkish
Applicants who completed their education abroad must upload their graduation certificate, transcript, and other documents not issued in Turkish together with their Turkish translations. Documents to be translated into Turkish must first be apostilled by the official authorities of the applicant’s country and then translated into Turkish by Turkish Consulates, Embassies, or a notary. Original documents may be requested during final registration.
Important Notes Regarding the Pre-Registration Process
- International applicants who graduated from universities in Türkiye must apply with their foreign national identification numbers starting with 99 in order for their information to be retrieved from YÖKSİS.
- Applicants applying under international applicant status must enter their nationality information correctly in the application system.
- Applicants whose applications are approved must obtain an up-to-date Examination Entrance Document from the application system in order to take the written scientific examination.
- Applicants who submit a pre-application are required to check their application status regularly through the application system.
- Opinions, suggestions, and requests regarding the application process may be submitted through the Support application available at https://basvuru.marmara.edu.tr. Applicants are advised to continue their requests through the same support request without opening new ones, as this will help the process be completed more quickly. When submitting a request, applicants must clearly state their Turkish ID number / foreign national ID number and their request.
